Hi, I am Giorgio!
Praised for his “lustrous tone” by Musical America, Italian flutist Giorgio Consolati has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, the Marlboro Music Festival, as well as in Europe and China. He appeared as a concerto soloist with Alan Gilbert and the Juilliard Orchestra and with the National Repertory Orchestra. Giorgio is currently the principal flute of the York Symphony Orchestra. As a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship, Giorgio studied at The Juilliard School with Carol Wincenc. He has also earned a prestigious Artist Diploma at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, studying with Marina Piccinini. Highlights of upcoming performances include a solo appearance with the HSO Orchestra, chamber music concerts in New Jersey and Philadelphia, and a residence at the Chamber Music Conference and Composers' Forum in the summer
